Your lash extensions are attached to your own individual eyelashes, and will shed as your natural lashes shed. This is normal and do not be alarmed! Maintaining your lash extensions will require regular visits to attach new extensions (touch ups) to your own eyelashes as your eyelash growth cycle regenerates new lashes.

To increase the longevity of your lashes and investment, please follow the instructions below.

First 12 hours after your visit

  • Avoid steam and sweat (saunas, facials, hot yoga).

  • Avoid tanning beds for 48 hours after application.

  • Avoid chemical peels, waxing, or laser treatments around the eyes.

  • Don’t sleep on your face! Also note that whichever side you sleep on, you may experience some lash loss.

  • Brush your lashes daily with a clean spoolie wand.

  • The natural life cycle of a lash is 60-90 days, and to keep your lashes looking their best, we recommend pre-booking your appointments out every 2-4 weeks.

In between Touch Ups

  • If a lash has turned, use your spoolie wand to brush it and correct it.

  • Use oil free products around your eye area. This includes cosmetics, makeup removers, cleansers, or moisturizers. Look for products that are water based, but not waterproof.

  • Do not use mascara curlers on your eyelash extensions. With proper application you will not need it.

  • Clean lashes and eyelids regularly with a foaming wash to prevent oil and dirt build up. Clean lashes have much better retention!

  • Avoid mascara. If you must, use extension safe mascara.

  • Be careful to avoid pulling extensions, rubbing your eyes, or touching your lashes excessively. If you would like them removed, please contact us.

  • Don’t worry if you lose an extension! Each extension will fall out with its natural lash during its normal growth cycle, and 2-4 lashes that shed a day is perfectly normal.

  • If you experience any redness or irritation, contact us immediately.

Before your Touch Up (Existing Clients) + New Clients

  • Please remove any makeup/mascara from eye area, and come with fresh, clean lashes before our visit together.

  • Wear comfortable clothing, as you will be lying down for an extended period of time and will probably get a lash nap in!

  • Take care to avoid caffeine products before our visit together as they can contribute to fluttering eyes.

  • Also be mindful about scheduling your Botox and lash appointments too close together! After receiving Botox, it’s essential to avoid laying down for about 4-6 hours. It takes a few hours for it to settle, and lying down too soon increases the chances of it migrating to different areas of your face.

  • Wear glasses or remove your contact lenses before your appointment.

    New Clients

  • If you use waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the extensions from adhering correctly.

  • Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean lashes and makeup free eyes.

  • Remove contact lenses before your appointment.

  • Allow up to 2+ hours for your first visit.

  • Familiarize yourself with our Policies in the Policies tab.

  • Please follow the additional guidelines listed above in this section.
